The school faced almost due East (Beech Street is a North/South Street, North being toward Belmont Center) Note that Beech Street is unpaved (as is Upland Road, where the man is standing), that the property across Beech Street to the East has no houses on it yet, that Mary Ellen Sliney’s house to the South does not yet exist, and that one house shows to the West on Henry Street (Joan Fisher’s?).
